About vicki
My journey as a self-taught tech creative started with a Eureka moment in my tenth year working in London. I realised that if I wanted to fulfil my dream of being a beach bum, I had to stop buying shoes – it was time for a change!
SEA
I grew up on boats, thrown in a dinghy by my parents and told to sail – and I loved every second. But London called, and after uni I spent ten fast-paced years in sports TV as a tech operator, vision mixer and director. Eventually, the ocean’s whisper turned into a shout, so I took a six-month sailing sabbatical and came back a qualified watersports instructor.
Shift
Back in the studio, my maxi dress and sun-bleached highlights said it all – I quit within the hour. Thirteen years followed teaching watersports and managing a sailing club, until the pandemic gave me space to combine everything I’d learned with my creative spark.
Blend
Teaching taught me how to communicate clearly; TV taught me process and precision. Blending those worlds led me to web design – creative thinking with practical delivery. Two businesses asked for help with their marketing, and I’ve been riding that digital wave ever since.
Curiosity
I’m endlessly nosey (in the best way). I love understanding how businesses work, what makes them tick, and how to help them shine online. I’m always learning new tech skills so my clients stay ahead of the curve.
I create bright, user-friendly websites and help business owners feel confident running them. Tech shouldn’t be scary – I’m here to translate it into plain English.
